Hi & welcome to my blog. I’m Catherine, a 40 something mum to two teenagers, 2 dogs, 2 parrots and 4 hedgehogs and when I get a spare minute, I’m an avid crocheter.
I learnt to crochet in 2010 when I had my daughter and wanted to learn to make cool things for her. I had been shown how to knit as a young girl by my mum but didn’t know anyone who could crochet. When I went back to work after my maternity leave, I met a lady who could. She showed me the basic stitches and from then, I taught myself anything that I didn’t know via Youtube and the rest of the internet. I started designing my own patterns in 2022 and have a Ravelry and Etsy store that I’m slowly building up.
My main aim is to help as many people as possible be able to make lovely squishy things! Helping people to crochet makes me very, very happy! This blog will help me to do that by sharing crochet info and free patterns so that people can learn. I’ll probably ramble off at a tangent at times too as I very strongly suspect that I have ADHD (currently awaiting diagnosis) so you will probably get some oversharing too! I hope you’ll join me on this journey and become part of my little community.
