Another day, another lip gloss holder requested by my daughter. This time for a friend of hers who is obsessed with bees! This time, I made a little loop so that she can hook it onto her keys and take it with her wherever she goes. It was so quick and easy to make, it took me around 15 minutes from start to finish.
I used DK yarn and a 4mm hook. You will also need some toy stuffing and small safety eyes
Head
R1:6sc into magic ring
R2: inc into every st (12)
R3-5 sc around
place safety eyes and embroider mouth. Stuff lightly.
R6: dec into every st
Finish off leaving long end to sew to body
Wings (make 2)
R1: 8sc into magic ring
R2: inc into every st (16)
Finish off leaving long end to sew to body
Body
Using black:
R1:6 sc into magic ring
R2: inc into every st (12)
R3: sc in back loop only
R4-5:sc around
Change to yellow:
R6-8: sc around
Change to black
R9-11: sc around
Change to yellow
R12-14:sc around
Change to black
R15-17 sc around
If you want to add a loop, ch 8 and then join to the top of the body with a slip stitch
Finish off & weave in ends.
Sew head and wings to body and enjoy!
