My eldest saw the frog lovey and requested a froggy lip gloss holder so here he is, complete with googly eyes and bendy legs! He is made using double knit yarn and a 4mm hook.
You will need:
-Green Yarn
-White Yarn
-Black yarn for embroidering
-Safety eyes
-Toy Stuffing
Legs (make 2)
ch 16. skip 1st st then sc into next 7 ch. 2 sc in next ch then sc to end. Finish off, leaving long ends to sew to body.
Arms (make 2)
ch 7. skip 1st st then sc into remaining 6 ch. Finish off leaving long ends to sew to body
Eyes (make 2)
6 sc into magic ring.
sc for 2 rounds. Finish off leaving long ends to sew to head. Place safety eyes in centre of 1st round.
Head
R1: 6 sc in magic ring
R2:(2 inc, 1sc) x2 (10)
R3: (1 inc, 1sc, 1 inc, 2sc)x2 (14)
R4 (1 inc, 2sc, 1 inc, 3sc)x2 (18)
R5-6: sc around
sew eyes to top of head
R7: ( 1 dec, 2sc, 1 dec, 3sc)x2 (14)
stuff head firmly
R8: (1 dec, 1sc, 1 dec. 2sc)x2 (10)
R9 5 dec
Finish off leaving long end to sew to body
Body
R1:6sc into magic ring
R2: inc into every st (12)
R3: sc into back loop only
R4-7: sc around
Sew legs to body
R8-18: sc around
Sew arms & head to body and you’re all done!
